Stillwagon Reunion, 1879

A remarkable reunion was held at the house of Sarah Hamilton, two and a half miles south east of this city on Feb. 23d. Mrs. Mary Stillwagon, aged 81 years, her daughter aged 40, grand daughter 38, great grand daughter aged 17, great great grand daughter 4 months, making five generations in one family. Mrs. Stillwagon was born in Schuylkill county, Pa., in 1797, was intermarried with George Stillwagon in 1812, removed to Richland county in 1839 [Ed: Blurred text. Year may be 1830], where she has resided until the present time. She is the mother of twelve children, 8 of whom are still living, three sons and five daughters. She has of grand children, living, fifty-three, great grand children, seventy-three, great, great grandchildren one. Her children are Wm. Stillwagon, George and Daniel, Elizabeth Swartz, Mary Mace, Katie Snider, Rebecca Mace and Sarah Knight. Mrs. Stillwagon is in tolerable health. She is residing with Moses Mace in this city.
